Phil Vitanzo—Licensed Home Inspector
Phil Vitanzo is the owner and inspector of Veriguard Home Inspections. There’s a certain amount of unpredictability when buying a home, and that can be disconcerting. But with the right home inspector, you can know what to expect from a home and when. Phil takes his time to make sure that every client has a solid understanding of a home’s defects and the recommended timeline for maintenance or more extensive repairs. It’s paramount to be aware of anything that could detract from a home’s quality, including safety and health hazards, structural shortcomings, or potential financial liabilities. Phil will analyze the situation and offer his professional counsel—widening your perspective of the home so that you can consider all of the pieces and ultimately make a great decision.
Knowing How a Home Operates
Before he trained to become a professional property inspector, Phil’s lifelong interest in building science led him to a career where he worked on the quality assessment and improvement of entertainment venues and arenas. The theory of structural design combined with its empirical application has always fascinated Phil—he loves to problem solve, identifying issues and implementing appropriate strategies in order to create a better product. As a home inspector, it satisfies Phil immensely when he can teach his clients about the way that a home operates, revealing the nature of any defective areas while also detailing the strengths of a property.
Helpful and Convenient Customer Service
When you schedule an inspection with Phil, he’ll explain the benefits of joining him for the inspection process. Being present for the inspection provides an opportunity for you to follow along with Phil as he does his work, seeing the strengths and the weaknesses of the home for yourself. You’ll be able to ask any questions that come to mind, likely finding it easier to interpret the nature of any issues when it’s all laid out in front of you. Clients are also more than welcome to call with questions after the inspection is over, no matter how much time has passed. Phone calls are accepted from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
